Radiohead- Street Spirit

Radiohead are an Indie Rock band who are well-known for having unique and artistic videos.
This video uses performance and narrative which are often used at the same time as each other.
In this video, not many cuts are used which creates a slow pace to the video. The shots fade between in and out of different views of his face.
A variety of camera shots are used. For example, medium and close up shots are used to show the facial expression and emotion in the lead singer, whilst high angle and long shots show the background. There is always central framing of the lead singer throughout the whole video.
This video uses special effects, such as slow motion. Split screens are used when there are two of him in one shot.
The mise en scene in this video is very unique. The set looks quite American whereas Radiohead are actually a British band. This suggests that the band is international as they have conquered American are able to film over there. The whole video is in black and white to create an alternative atmosphere of dark emotion.
